Snowpeak's titanium stoves are as light as 1.9 ounces and a full can of fuel is only 7 ounces. The LiteMax is the new lightest butane/propane stove in the world. It's rugged, safe, and dependable, and burns efficiently at high altitudes. The 110-gram fuel cartridge is 70% butane and 30% propane allowing it to function in cold weather.
The heat control is adjustable, right down to simmer. At just 3 1/2" high and 3 7/8" in diameter you can easily fold the stove and keep it with other items in your kettle. The LiteMax and GigaPower stoves are much easier to use than a liquid fuel stove. The fuel cartridge easily screws onto the stove, so you can remove and re-attach it as often as you like. The auto igniter models add a little weight, but let you light your stove without matches in windy conditions.
You light it instantly with no pumping or priming, no messy liquid fuel, no complicated instructions, no loud roar, and you'll never need to clean it. It's fast and hot, burning at 10,000 (11,200 for the LiteMax) BTUs. Boil water while your friends are still setting up. It burns 210 grams of fuel per hour at the hottest output. It's a joy to use compared to other stoves. Snowpeak recommends you use only their fuel canisters.

Always use a covered pot and windscreen for efficiency. Your windscreen can be as light and simple as aluminum foil. The stove is handmade from recycled materials. At only 13.3 oz. this sturdy aluminum kit saves carrying weight and nests together for compact storage. Many suppliers are promoting kits of "heavy-gauge aluminum, stainless steel, copper-bottom pots, and teflon." All are overkill and add extra weight. With a little planning you can often take only the kettle, kettle cover, and cup. That reduces the weight to only 6 oz. Rugged Lexan® Spoon, Fork, or Spork

The Lexan® spoon, fork, and spork are as strong as steel, yet light as a feather. They're more than 4 times lighter than that stainless steel camping set some people lug around. They're completely reusable, unbreakable, and won't rust. The spoon is .2 ounces, the fork is .3 ounces, and the spork is .3 ounces. Use your pocket knife instead of carrying a table knife to save even more weight. The spoon, fork, and spork are both a little long, so have a wild time and save weight by filing them down a tad.
